About ‘The Carol’

“The Carol” began in 1981 as a 20-minute skit at the end of a Sunday School Christmas program. Since that time, “The Carol” has evolved into a full musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” The original music in ‘The Carol’ is the brain child of director Kevin Carlson. Mr. Carlson is drama  coach and English teacher at Osceola High School and has over his years there inspired many young actors and actresses to enter the world of drama.

The cast of ‘The Carol’ has numbered as many as 90 people of virtually any age. As a result, the cast develops a family atmosphere during rehearsals that spills into every production. In the 2006 production of ‘The Carol’ nearly 50% of the cast had been in at least one production in the past.

‘The Carol’ is also family friendly due to the fact that each performance of ‘The Carol’ is free. The message of ‘The Carol’ is built around the fact that on that night 1000’s of years ago, a child was born, and this child came to bring us love, forgiveness, and eternal life. His gift to us comes at a cost that He himself paid through His death on the Cross and His resurrection three days later.

We invite you to join us for the 2008 production of the Carol in December 2008.

And as Tiny Tim would say, “God Bless us, Everyone.”

  2. The turkey, (sir reggie) has been located and possibly his twin. I say governor off with their heads!!!

  3. I say govn’r, is it, the turkey that is, the one as big as me?

  4. Sir reggie has escaped! I was wrong there is three of him. At this time they were last seen in the Litchfield area near some schools. Discriptions of the fowl trio are incomplete at this time. All we know is :color:white with a red neck.Height:18″ to 36″ tall.Weight:unknown. It is not clear how they escaped, but I have been told that the London bobbies and Scotland yard are searching for them. They are considered extremely dangerous, so if you see them toss em some corn and leave the area. I have been assured that the trio will be captured with in 30 days. At which time they will eat to their hearts content. Well I have to fly. Percy

  5. Percy,
