Grace as Worship

In 2 Corinthians 9:12-15 the Apostle Paul commends the church in Corinth a generous gift. He reminds his readers that their gift was an act of worship which not only benefits the recipients, but also blessed the entire church and was pleasing to our Heavenly Father as well.

While Paul’s reference was to a financial gift, his intent, I believe was to remind each of us that our giving to others, whether it be a gift of finances or of time and abilities is really a blessing to God himself.

Next week we, as a cast present ‘The Carol’ to our Heavenly Father as an act of worship. We invite those who attend to join in that worship, but our presentation is to Him. Each line, each dance step, each song has been committed to Him. While we hope many will leave ‘better’ than when they came, our ultimate goal is goal is to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift!
