Hey everybody!
Sunday’s rehearsal (10/19/08) will be an important one because we will be taking a break for a little while in order that those of us involved with the OHS Production of “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” can focus on tech week and performance. I hope that all of you who are not involved with the OHS play will consider coming out to support your cast mates, and that you will bring friends. For those of you who may not be familiar with the C. S. Lewis book, “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” is an incredibly multi-layered story that works perfectly well as a simple children’s story, while at the same time relating the gospel. Sometimes that message gets watered down by directors who produce the play, I think you know me well enough to know that I do not!
After Sunday’s rehearsal, we will not meet again until TUESDAY November 4th (Election Day!) Jessica O’Conner will be with us that night to look at our choreography to see if she can help us take it up a notch. Jessica worked with us on “Beauty and the Beast”, and I am very excited to have her contributing to “The Carol”! So VOTE and then come to rehearsal ready to kick off the drive to the finish line!
Hello Carolers!
It was like “Old Home” night at the opening of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” Friday, because so many of the “Carol” cast came out to support the show. THANK YOU so much!
Don’t forget that we have a “Carol” rehearsal on Tuesday evening at 7:00. Vote and then come to rehearsal!
Jessica O’Conner will be with us to take a look at the choreography and see if she can give us some pointers. I have worked with Jessica before and she is fabulous!
If you haven’t seen “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” yet come and support your fellow cast members!
Hi Guys!
Last night’s rehearsal was fun, it was good to see everybody again! Our next rehearsal will be Tuesday 11/11/08 at 7:00! (My apologies to those who showed up at 6:00!) Since quite a few people have to come some distance, we will plan on 7:00 for weekday rehearsals, while still starting at 6:00 on Sundays.
REMEMBER: We could use some crew help on Monday 11/10/08. We’ll gather at 5:00 at the OHS Auditorium and load up gear and set pieces that we will be using for the “Carol”. Pat and Jim will have vehicles and trailers there, and then while I continue the set strike for LWW, the “Carol” crew can head out with Pat and Jim to the ARC to unload stuff there and to move the rest of the “Carol” set into the gym.
Come and see LWW this coming weekend!
Kudos to Jessica for her great choreography! I spent Friday morning in the Jacuzzi, trying to relieve the aches and pains from using muscles and joints that I haven’t used for years, but I have to say it was worth it! Sunday’s rehearsal will be a lot of fun.
Happy Thanksgiving to all the “Carolers”! I hope this day finds you all surrounded by loved ones, and savoring all the things that we have to be thankful for. We are so blessed!
Speaking of being surrounded by loved ones, Sunday’s rehearsal is coming fast! Remember to be at the ARC no later than 5:30 so we can be rehearsing at 6:00. We will back up a little from where we left off in order to spend some time getting the Marley scene timing down. This is the most crucial “Tech” scene we have, so it will be important for all participants in the scene to be there early and ready to START at 6:00. We will need Eric, Bob, Dave, Brad, Jim Roberts, Larry Mederich, Josiah Mederich and anyone else who has a function during the scene. We will want Dave in chains, So Waszo should probably be there as well. I will try to pass the word to as many of these people as possible, but anybody who reads this, and comes across any of the aforementioned rascals, please let them know!
See you Sunday!
The first weekend is now in the books! What a great start, I was very pleased with each performance, and THANK GOD for His answer to prayer with the sound issue! Remember to take care of yourselves this week. Rest up and get rejuvenated for a full weeekend. Believe God for great things. Let’s enter the weekend with an air of expectancy for how the Holy Spirit will move. Don’t forget to continue to invite people, and urge them to get there early for good seats!
See You all Friday!
Thank you again, all of you so very much very a wonderful Carol season. God bless all of you until we meet again!
ps. coffees always on please don’t make us wait two years to visit again!
